Beauty for Our Souls

by rcs1

My life has gotten busy. Really really busy, so I haven't been posting much, but here goes:
Juvenile Cooper's Hawk
Juvenile Cooper's hawk
The parents came and visited our apartment, checked out the area, and then sent two juveniles to spend a few weeks learning to hunt. They ate most of our small birds.
Incidentally, older literature uses the word "chickenhawk" to describe these birds.
