The history of "Mothers Day" has its roots in Ancient Greece, where the "Mother of all Gods" Rhea was honored with a Springtime celebration. "Mothering Day" became a tradition in Britain in the 1600's. But Mother's Day as we know it in the United States is more than just a "Hallmark Moment."
