Ohio Election Night Results, Smartech server, and Netcraft, links

by rcs1

promoted -- good index of the stories by various ePluribus Media researchers and writers about the tech-interconnections -- cho

Researchers at ePluribusMedia have published a number of stories related to the people and events that are related to the results of Ohio's elections, the servers delivering results from Smartech-registered IP adddresses, and the discovery of Election Night 2004 IP address changes recorded by Netcraft.

The Free Press updated their record of what happened in Ohio, recently, after a review of the work of ourselves and others and integrated that information into their prior knowledge of events.  In The Free Press original, The GOP's cyber election hit squad, Stephen Rosenfeld and Bob Fitrakis appropriately cited our work but as the story has spread, others have not.

We thought to help correct that problem with a summary list of these stories in one place, for the convenience of those seeking source articles.

Please read and consider the implications of our work carefully.   Much is being speculated but that speculation may not hold true of our results.

Update [2007-4-27 12:38:13 by luaptifer]: thanks to folks at those sites who've updated with appropriate reference or done better, it's much appreciated!

for sending the link to the Wired blog recap that does give kudos and credit to you super sleuths at ePluribus Media! Here in Did Ohio Election Data Run Through Republican Servers?

for the entire series so far! I'm wondering what should happen next, should I email Averbeck at Smartech and ask him for a response to this? It is weird that none of these folks ever even responds to anything, not even to their hometown press.

I would also like to say thank you to everyone who has contributed their time to looking into the server history, the public history, and into those person who were maybe involved.
It is truely a fair analysis of what you have found so far.
On the point of others not acknowledging your work, I could be guilty only that I did not specifically state who, but I just posted your site as a reference.
You can find that here;
http://www.bbvforums.org/cgi-bin/forums/show.cgi?8/47300
at BlackBoxVoting.org.
You will notice that I don't seem to do well with the replies from other members at BBV. :-(
I just wanted them to be aware and to look into your findings.  Believe it or not, I have seen so many good people devote so much time in investigating, and if they only new someone else had what they were looking for it could save a lot of time.
I do wish more people could collaberate their efforts!  I mean no offence and that is why I am posting this here today to clarify.  I wanted to bring this to your attention, before in your google you found my references to your findings.

Most Sincerely!

thank you for dropping in and enlightening us on the issues.

Sorry to tell you that google beat you in the opposite direction but not to worry.  My comment above considered posts at a couple of other high-profile sites where traffic even to the individual posts probably dwarfs our own.  As a volunteer, collaborative endeavor similar to that of BBV, many people have contributed to discovering what we've published.  I think that we who don't do it for the big bucks (or ANY bucks, for that matter) should at least be recognized for the love of it.

In fact, I popped over to BBV yesterday to try to post the links there seeing as you all didn't find the whole set.  But things have changed alot since the forum blew up a couple of years ago under the weight of those who intentionally tried to disupt our efforts through disinformation at the time.  It's somewhat fortunate that it took Bev some time to put the new forums in place since that left me homeless and wandering in search of...well, it seems like maybe this guy, but definitely this place.  Thanks to Bev, it was BBV where I started down this road.

In any case, my long wind is running down.  I appreciate your intent and am glad to think we might be contributing to your effort.

And I'm also glad to see that there are skeptics, still, who'll keep questioning what's in their faces.  Please thank 'm for questioning our own work for me.  That the majority are not skeptical enough is why we're here in the first place.  In my book, that's what it's all about.

Keep on digging and let us know what you all find.  Thanks!

I didn't qualify seems correctly.

What it seems is that there're enough reasons to question who has their hands inside the machinery of our government and how they were able to get their hands in without appropriate gatekeeping.
