Kicking off the 2008 gallery of candidate interviews, we are starting off with one of the more interesting races. In his interview with Al Franken after announcing his candidacy for Minnesota Senator, MN Campaign Report explores Al's motivations and issues. Al Franken will be going up against Senator Norm Coleman in 2008 and is the first officially announced candidate of import. Read the interview in its entirety at ePluribus Media Journal.

This is going to be a FUN one (5.00 / 2) (#1)

And I don't mean because Al has comedic experience. I want Normie to go down and down hard. Al's right on top of the issues - debates will be awesome if Al makes it through the primary .

Mike Ciesi, a millionaire lawyer, has formed an exploratory committee. Here's a profile on him:

He backed off last time which allowed Amy Klobuchar to win Mark Dayton's seat when Dayton quit. Mike's got money.

Yesterday, Peter Agre, Nobel Prize winner and Minnesota native announced he is moving back to MN from his post at John Hopkins and is exploring a run. Not sure about his money situation.

And THAT - money - will be the determining factor in this race. Bushites/Rovians will be bringing big guns to keep Coleman in place.

why not Al? I really like this man.......there is just something about him...... NO FEAR! I look forward to reading about this campaign and wonder who the next "Team Franken" members are going to be?
