Just wanted to give everybody a little update on the site migration (which is going very well!) and thank everybody for helping test the new sites and for all of the feedback they have given. It is much appreciated ...
If you encounter broken links, glitches or have any other problems when using the new sites, please send an email to administrator@epluribusmedia.net.
Here is where we are now: The new sites are best viewed in Firefox 2.X and IE 7.X ... if you have an older browser, we strongly recommend that you update it. We are getting reports of display glitches in older browsers that magically disappear when the browser is updated. commentary :: :: :: buzz-it!
Here are the links to the "new" old sites. (Once all of the DNS propagation has taken place the redirect will be seamless).
Scoop (scoop.epluribusmedia.org) will redirect to the archive site. This site will become static, meaning it will no longer accept new commentaries or comments. On Friday, Nov. 30th we will update the database at the archive site to include commentaries posted thru Midnight 11/29 and forward the scoop.epluribusmedia.org domain to the new server. Investigates (epluribusinvestigates.org)will redirect to the archive site. This site will become static, meaning it will no longer accept new tips or comments. Journal (epluribusmedia.org) will redirect to the archive site. Timelines (timelines.epluribusmedia.org) is redirecting to the new site. Timelines has the least changes of any of the sites in terms of web real estate and functionality. What now? We encourage all of you to start using the new sites and getting familiar with the layout. Here are the access links for the new sites: Sometime in the next 48 hours (by Thursday morning) all of the registered users here at scoop.epluribusmedia.org will receive an email from the new community site announcing that their user information has been migrated to the new community site. [Any of you that have already registered at discuss.epluribusmedia.net will not receive this email, as you have already created an account (and we don't want you to lose the good real estate you have staked out).]
