Click the logo. The K/R site has changed to reflect the new owners, and that's a good thing. News-to-news is still a much better deal for the public than just another purchase by Wall Street Cyclops looking for that next big buck. Stating the obvious, that logo is © McClatchy.

Texas Redistricing - via Supremes (5.00 / 1) (#1)

Although the justices refused to overturn the entire map, they ruled that one district in southwestern Texas violated the federal voting rights law.

Adam B over at Daily Kos has been breaking down this week's SCOTUS decisions in front-paged diaries.
In this one, the extended headline is "SCOTUS on DeLay's Gerrymander: It's Okay To Screw Democrats, But Not Latinos"; I haven't read it closely yet, but I'm thinking this decision is going to draw plenty of fire.
And Annatopia's post over on Texas Kaos (formerly Texas Kos, gotta change the blogroll) is generating plenty of discussion, as well.

Yeah. NYT publishes public domain info despite the White House's request for them not to. That gives you an idea why they went ahead with it, and why the White House didn't want them to.

It's not a national security issue. It's an election issue.
