I am wondering, those of you who went to Vegas, did you meet any Kossacks from Vegas or NV who were active supporters of Carter's campaign? Of course, I've seen his daughter posting, but I'm just curious because this campaign doesn't seem to be receiving the attention it deserves. (Could just be my misperception, of course.)

: I got a chance to hang with a bunch of his staff (none / 0) (#4)

while waiting for my interview. He's got an office of young, energetic, completely committed people, most under 25-years-old, working hard, manning phones, stuffing envelopes, working databases and generating excitement for their boss. I saw them again 12 hours later at Carter's suite party at the Riviera, and they still had the same energy that they had in the afternoon.

One of the first things I read:

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has $33.5 million cash on hand, while the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, has $18.3 million on hand (AP). If only Nevada had an influential and powerful Democratic Senator who could persuade the DSCC to provide a substantial amount of money to Jack Carter. Oh well.
