Rough & Tumble from YearlyKos

Well, I tumbled out of bed this morning following a great day yesterday here at YK! Firmly planted at our ePluribus Media booth, I'm going to post a rough commentary to share some of my experiences so far. The highlight (among many) for me personally was the "View from the Ground: Iraq Veterans on the War and Returning Home" panel featuring members of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). What an honor to meet the founder Paul Rieckhoff, along with fellow vets Zack Bazzi (who's also starring in the upcoming documentary The War Tapes), Abbie Pickett, and Perry Jeffries. There's always something happening here, someone new to meet, opportunities galore. Case in point: LeftyLimblog and I just got interviewed at the booth and got to beam about what this community has to offer others out there: community, hard investigative journalism, timelines, and some of the best and brightest bloggers around.

Doing our best to represent you all. Will have lots more just as soon as I can snag a few more minutes; check out the links in the meantime!

Can I say it enough? No!

I just hope they put out a DVD of all the panels... I caught what I could on C-SPAN yesterday, now I see at Daily Kos reports that they yanked their coverage due to "technical difficulties". I've been reading the roundups. Think Progress had a good list of links yesterday of the first day's media coverage, and Georgia10 has been putting links in the Open Threads over at the Orange Mothership.

But the best stuff is here at the Purple Mothership!
