Aaron Barlow interviews Tony Barr, the Democratic candidate running against Republican Bill Shuster, who inherited the seat from his father, for the Pennsylvania 9th Congressional seat.

The interview is Dean Inspires Tony Barr to Run for Penn's CD-9 on the ePluribus Media Journal.

Tony Barr is one of the many young Democrat candidates, who though they may have previously registered Republican, have been inspired Howard Dean.

On the question of PTSD (none / 0) (#1)

In your interview you mention that

I have heard that the Department of Defense has much improved its actions towards PTSD in the last 15 years.

Many of the ePMedia writers and contributors care deeply about the troops and seeing that they receive the care they need before, during and after their tours of duty. In fact, there's a wealth of information about PTSD, the troops, and incidents of violence associated possible PTSD, right here.

In general, many in this community feel that more needs to be done and soon. It's not just a problem that faces veterans, it faces all of us as these men and women return to civilian life.

Yet the Department of Defense seems to be using a "blame the veteran" strategy to reduce the costs associated with treating the disease.

We hope our PTSD Acts of Violence, the Journal series done by D.E.Ford, the ongoing commentaries of ilona, the updates provided by Jim Staro and the many fine commmentaries of Cmdr. Huber contribute to a renewed understanding our country's responsibilities to our veterans.
