One of the toughest part of the Bush NSA spying scandal is to get your brain around the idea of how can they possible pick and choose bits of information they sucked up with their huge vacuum cleaner. We're about to give you a demonstration of how it works.
Thanks to a tip sent in to us, we found a unique tool: daily news :: :: :: buzz-it!
You may find the bona fides behind the database in a discussion here:
http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,70100-0.html?tw=wn_index_1 The question is: How to use it? Let's see what we find when we type in "Abramoff" - was he mentioned within Enron's emails? Ah - yes, he certainly was:
> From: ralph@censtrat.com That's Rick Shapiro he is talking to. Susan's phone number would have been easy to give out - Reed was best bud's with Rove and Susan was Rove's assistant before going to work for Abramoff. Other interesting connections are there for the searching, here are some suggested ones:
Ed Buckham, Alexander Strategy Group (ASG), Delay, Abramoff, Joe Hillings (he was campaigning to start an Ambassadorship right after his Enron retirement), Richard Shapiro - he was in charge of lobbying in Washington for Enron, ARMPAC, TRMPAC. How about Linda Robertson of Enron, she was hired as a lobbyist also. It is very simple to search on any of these terms. Just go to the database link above, pull down "full text" and select it, type in the name or names you are looking for and click SEARCH. Voila! Clickable, readable information. Another search might find this:
This is just a readable database illustrating the contents of Bush's vacuum cleaner bag. And it sucks. You might want to take a shower after perusing the files. Pull the curtains and double check the doors first, you never know who is watching.
