As Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito received approval from a Senate panel Tuesday on a 10-8 party-line vote. CNN just reported "Democrats unlikely to use filibuster on Supreme Court nominee."
commentary :: :: :: buzz-it!
However, Rethugs are hoping Alito will get Senate approval before the State of the Union Address before at the end of the month.
So far we have one Democratic traitor in our mist and that is Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska who CNN reported "has announced his support" for Alito. CNN also reported, there is one fence rider, Sen. Kent Conrad, D-North Dakota who is still undecided. Normally I really wouldn't care because it was obivious that the 7 traitors who were part of the Gang of 14 screwed up royally.
But this one takes the cake and we really need to find replacements for those who will not good Dems filibuster. It is clear what the Republican mafia really think us. In mafia like terms, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina said, "Our side would welcome that debate. And frankly, we'll clean your clock." If this arrogance doesn't motivate, then nothing will.
